Founders' Corner

In the year 2004 few inspired individuals in Charlotte, sharing common interests, passion and devotion came together and wanted to do something for Sri Purandara Dasaru. Having tasted the glory & fragrance of Dasa Sahithya & Devaranama culture in their earlier spell in India, they felt something was truly missing in their western lives even though everything was alright in the material world around, and they wanted to do something about it. Thus was born the Charlotte Devaranama Group! With new found enthusiasm, in the very next year 2005 they organized and hosted the very first Purandara Aradhana in a very humble way. And there was no looking back; year after year, Purandara Aradhana continued to happen without break. Over the years many had to leave with a heavy heart for work/relocation reasons. And many new people joined and contributed in many ways to grow the organization. 

“Kereya Neeranu Kerege Chelli” – We use this platform to show our gratitude to first founders who brought about the idea, gave their best and created something new and unique that has been bearing fruit till date.
